Drive: From Brisbane’s western suburbs, it will take you approximately 1 hour to drive to Spicers Hidden Vale. You will be driving only on sealed roads, and plenty of parking is available on site. 

Bus: You can purchase a seat on our event bus, leaving Graceville at 10.30am and returning to Graceville by 6.00pm. Cost is $30 for a return trip. You can choose this option when you purchase your event ticket.

Yes, you can purchase tickets for multiple people - when booking, you will just need to provide each person’s name and email address so we can be in touch with each guest closer to the event with event details. 

For event / event + bus tickets:

At any time, including the morning of the event, you can transfer a ticket to another person.

If you are unable to attend the event for any reason: A full refund for event tickets and event + bus tickets is available before 15 May 2022.

If you are unable to attend because a COVID related government regulation requires you to isolate at home: A full refund is available to guests up until and including the day of the event, or you can transfer your ticket to next year's event.

If a COVID related government regulation requires the event to be cancelled: A full refund is available to guests if the event is cancelled due to a COVID related government regulation, or you can transfer your ticket to next year's event.

For accommodation and event ticket package:

Should COVID-19 force the closure of the retreat resulting in the cancellation of the event, we will refund any guests that have paid for the event. Spicers Retreats would also be happy to hold any amount as a credit towards a future stay if you wish.

To make the most of Queensland's glorious winter days, most of the event will be held outside.

We will be moving around on sealed paths, dirt paths, and grass. In the event of rain, we'll stay warm and dry inside the lovely Homestead. 

There will be braziers outside, and fireplaces inside, to keep you toasty. 

Please let us know your accessibility needs so we can help you enjoy this event fully.

We will be moving around the Spicers Hidden Vale site on different surfaces, including sealed paths, dirt paths, and grass. There are accessible entryways into each of the buildings.

We Are Queensland Food Celebration and Giving Event is being organised by Outback Futures together with Spicers Hidden Vale.

Both of our organisations are passionate about our rural and remote communities, and are committed to working alongside rural and remote Queenslanders to create a stronger, more sustainable future for everyone.

During the event, you will hear about the work of Outback Futures, a not-for-profit organisation committed to the mental health and wellbeing of our outback children, families and communities. 

You will have the opportunity to make a significant financial contribution to the work of Outback Futures.  All donations received at the We Are Queensland Food Celebration and Giving Event will be used by Outback Futures to provide direct services and support to children, families and communities in outback Queensland. 

Financial donations to Outback Futures $2 and over are tax deductible, and Outback Futures will issue a tax receipt. However please note purchase of auction items or raffle tickets are not tax deductible.
